Almighty and gracious God,
You are the giver of all that we have
and all that we are.
We ask You, Lord,
to inspire in us a generous spirit,
so that through the
2011 Bishop's Lenten Appeal,
we may use wisely the gifts
You have given us
by placing them at the service of
our brothers and sisters.
May our participation in this year's
Bishop's Lenten Appeal be an outward
sign of our resolve to do good, to spread the
Gospel, and to offer our gifts in service
to You and Your faithful people
throughout our diocese.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
